Puur Terschelling is proud to be the first Waddengoud-certified business on Terschelling. On 6th April 2012, the Bierema family received the coveted quality mark twice from Roelan Schroor, director of VVV Terschelling, for both their small-scale accommodation and the Puur Terschellinger packages. Waddengoud represents a high-quality experience of the Wadden Sea region, quality in accommodation and activities, hospitality and minimal impact on nature and the environment. The quality mark guarantees guests that they will have an authentic, sustainable and unforgettable experience at Puur Terschelling.

At Puur Terschelling, everything revolves around unique island experiences. Guests can choose from a wide range of activities that bring the nature, culture and history of Terschelling to life. Think of covered wagon tours across the Boschplaat and Grië, outdoor rides to the North Sea beach on Friesian & Shire horses, donkey walks, carriage driving experiences and mudflat hiking. All activities are carefully designed to experience the Wadden Sea and the island in a respectful way, often combined with local products that are also Waddengoud certified. This way, guests experience the island in a sustainable and meaningful manner.
Apartment Puur Slapen
In the farmhouse, Puur Terschelling offers the 4-person apartment 'Puur Slapen', accommodation with character and comfort. With a traditional box bed, lots of natural materials, a private terrace with wood-fired hot tub, guests experience authentic island life in style. The combination of small scale, comfort and sustainability perfectly aligns with the Waddengoud principle: high-quality accommodation that lets guests relax whilst being respectful to the island and its nature.

Anne, Daniëlle, Jochem and Bentum have developed the business into a place where education, experience, quality and animal welfare come together. Safety and professionalism are guaranteed through various quality marks and certificates, such as Safe Equestrian Sport, Zoonoses, coachman's and riding certificates, First Aid and Emergency Response. As a recognised training company, they also contribute to knowledge transfer and awareness.
