Staying at the farm

Our family farm is located near the Wadden Sea, North Sea beach and in the heart of the village Oosterend. You are warmly welcome to come and stay with us. Discover the island feeling, farm life and enjoy fresh sea air and all the Puur animals. You share the farmyard with horses, donkeys, sheep, guinea pigs, rabbits and the labradors Soof and Suus.

Sleep in a fully furnished apartment in the Bierema family's farmhouse. The accommodation has a robust interior, with a private hot tub on your own terrace and plenty of privacy in the sun: a delightful prospect.

At the Puur farm

The island lies at your feet, but do stay and enjoy a few hours on the farm. With a book in the hammock or a cup of coffee at the picnic table, whilst the children play to their heart's content. In the small-scale play meadow there's a sunken trampoline and a lookout hut with a large and mini slide. Or perhaps the children can't be dragged away from our menagerie? We completely understand! Our donkeys, guinea pigs and rabbits are absolutely adorable and love being petted. In the cosy fireplace room you can play games together, read books (aloud) or sit by the fire, should the weather conditions be less favourable. There are many games, books, and beach toys available to borrow.

Stargazing

On our farm it still gets properly dark. In clear weather we have an unobstructed view of the starry sky. It remains magical, those thousands of stars in the night. We can still gaze at them in wonder. For a Puur experience we have set up a small observatory. Our very own stargazing station, where you can enjoy the heavens through a telescope. Or book a Dark Sky tour with VR experience. Jochem and Bentum will take you into nature. Here at Puur Terschelling the Dark Sky stories gain an extra dimension through a personal star presentation.

Frequently asked questions

Can I cook in the dune tent?
Yes, there is a fully equipped kitchen with an induction hob. There is only cold running water: for hot water you use the kettle.
Are bed linen and towels included?
Upon arrival, the beds are already made and a towel package is ready for you. This applies to both the Puur Slapen Duintenten and the Puur Slapen apartment.
Can I use children's furniture?
If you're coming with small children, you can borrow everything you need, such as a camping cot, highchair or trolley. Please let us know in advance and we'll make sure everything is ready for you.
Are dogs welcome?
Of course! You can borrow practical items such as a dog bowl and dog crate. Please be mindful of our other animals and guests on the farm.
Does Puur Terschelling have wifi as well?
There's plenty to see and experience on our grounds and in the surrounding area. But we naturally aim for good connectivity, so there's free wifi on the campsite and in the apartment.

From our farmyard, experience an unforgettable holiday on Terschelling. We offer plenty of peace and space at our small-scale campsite: a form of glamping on Terschelling! Discover the unique nature between the Wadden Sea and the North Sea. Wandering along the dune paths or beyond them, because that's allowed, you'll wonderfully unwind. For children, this natural environment is one big playground. Forget mobile phones and iPads; there's plenty to experience. Building sandcastles by the North Sea, catching crabs on the mudflats or simply enjoying an ice cream in the village. Pure outdoor living

The farm is a place where there's always life. With lots of love and attention, we care for our animals. Every day we take the donkeys from the stable to the pasture. This happens at fixed times: at 8.00 in the morning and 6.00 in the evening. Would you like to come along? Our cuddle meadow lives up to its name. All day long, you're welcome to cuddle with our adorable guinea pigs and rabbits. On the play meadow, the trampoline and slide are the children's favourites. Inside, the fireplace room has a wonderfully cosy atmosphere. You can read a book in peace or play games together.
