Safety Certificate

On Monday 17th November 2008, Puur Terschelling successfully completed the inspection for the Safe Equestrian Sport Safety Certificate. During this inspection, carried out by Mr Cor Kriek, it was assessed whether we meet all requirements as described in the Safe Horse Riding Manual. Every aspect of our business, from stables and riding paths to supervision and organisation of activities, was carefully evaluated. The result was a perfect score: a 10 on the report. Since 31st December 2008, the accompanying wall plaque has been proudly displayed on our farmhouse barn as a sign of this recognition.

Safety as our foundation

The certificate means that Puur Terschelling meets strict safety requirements. This goes beyond the physical aspects of the stable and riding routes: our internal organisation is also designed with safety in mind. We ensure that all drivers, riders and visitors receive clear instructions, are well-informed about safe riding and driving, and are encouraged to be mindful of safety themselves. This way, guests can fully enjoy their countryside ride or covered wagon trip with complete peace of mind.

First aid, AED and well-trained staff

An important part of our Safety Certificate is preparation for emergency situations. At Puur Terschelling, staff are trained in first aid and emergency response, and an AED is available on the premises, so swift and adequate action can be taken in case of incidents or injuries. This combination of well-trained supervision, safe infrastructure and clear protocols ensures a reliable and professional environment for everyone who wants to discover the island with us on horseback or in a covered wagon. Safety, enjoyment and hospitality go hand in hand with us.
