Pure Haye

All horses at Puur Terschelling are named after someone who has had a connection with the company, and so it is with Haye. Haye was born on the day we sadly had to say goodbye to another, very important Haye: father, father-in-law and grandfather of the Bierema family, and the previous owner of the farm that Puur Terschelling originally was. Haye's photo still adorns the facade of one of our buildings. Our Friesian gelding Haye is a real leader of the pack; he always wants to know what's happening and loves to have his nose in everything. Haye is black, but from his mother Dirkje he has inherited four lovely half-white legs and a diamond-shaped marking on his forehead.
