Puur Terschelling has the only three donkeys on the island. They make wonderful companions during a walk through the island's nature. Most people associate donkeys with being stubborn and headstrong. But nothing could be further from the truth. Our donkeys are absolutely lovely, affectionate, eager to learn, loyal and very clever. They also love being petted! Discover for yourself how delightful these donkeys are and set off together. We've created a beautiful walking route for you lasting 2 to 2.5 hours (it can always be shortened).
Good to know
- The donkey can carry a child up to 8 years old OR a picnic basket.
- You can organise your own picnic or have it arranged by the local catering establishments.
- If you bring hot drinks, you must carry them yourself. The thermos flask could leak, potentially causing burns to the donkey.
