Experience a delightful day on Terschelling. You'll board one of Rederij Doeksen's ships in Harlingen. During the voyage, you can already enjoy a UNESCO World Heritage Site: the Wadden Sea! Upon arrival, an Arriva bus or rental bike will be ready for you. That's your transport to our village Oosterend. We ask you to be present 15 minutes before departure. You'll then have plenty of time to put on your footwear at leisure.
We start the mudflat walking tour at our Puur farm, just 5 minutes' walk from the Wadden Sea. Enjoy an unforgettable experience: walking on, observing, feeling and tasting the beautiful UNESCO world heritage site. In this pristine nature reserve, high and low tides have free rein. Here you'll experience the natural elements of the Wadden Sea in an educational (and especially fun) way. Highly recommended!

Good to know:
- Appropriate footwear is essential. You can borrow mudflat walking shoes (sizes 25 to 46) or boots (sizes 27 to 50) from us.
- Included: refreshments, oysters and Puur sea salt treats.
- Dogs are not allowed due to disturbance to the birds.
- A child carrier for children up to 18 kg is available for hire.
You can book online. During booking, you can indicate your preferred boat times in the comments field. The ferry service takes 2 hours and the fast service takes 50 minutes.
Puur WAD important:
- Normal health and fitness are required for mudflat walking.
- You can borrow appropriate footwear from us.
- Clothing advice: layers of clothing that are wind-, water- and sun island-proof.
- You can learn to apply sun cream.
- Leave valuables at home or pack them waterproof.
- Alcohol is not permitted.
