Puur Terschelling organises various outdoor rides, depending on ability level. For inexperienced riders we offer 2-hour outdoor rides. For beginners plus we offer 3-hour outdoor rides to the Boschplaat. We always ride in small groups of a maximum of 6 guests. We alternate between walking and trotting, as the group is able. There is no cantering. Naturally we take beginners across the North Sea beach.
Who is this for?
Experience is not necessary for this outdoor ride. You will 'steer' the horse yourself. By inexperienced rider we mean people who have never sat on a horse, with less than 3 years' experience. This is for people from 8 years old or 1.30 metres tall. Puur Terschelling organises outdoor rides throughout the year.
Reliable horses
Our Friesian and Shire riding horses are (almost) all born and bred on our Puur farm. They have been trained in a consistent and respectful manner. This makes them friendly, reliable riding horses; perfect for the beginning rider. For our guided outdoor rides we use the many riding routes of Staatsbosbeheer. On returning home you may help with unsaddling.
